Hanging Your Mirror

The guide for displaying your artwork with the precision and reverence it deserves.

A Mirror is not simply hung, it is placed.

Where you position it, how you anchor it, and the way it meets the wall determines how the piece breathes inside your home.

Below are the official instructions and recommendations for each of the three presentations.

1. The Untethered Mirror

Weightless, modern, sculptural.

What it includes:

  • • Ultraboard back
  • • Built-in keyhole hanger
  • • Wall screw provided

How to Hang

  1. Measure and mark the height where you want the center of the artwork to rest.
  2. Install the provided wall screw securely into the wall (use an anchor if needed).
  3. Align the keyhole hanger on the back of the artwork with the screw head.
  4. Slide the Mirror down gently until it locks into place.

Placement Advice

The Untethered presentation floats with a clean edge and looks best:

  • • On minimalist walls
  • • Slightly higher than traditional framed pieces
  • • Centered with generous negative space around it

Because the edges are visible, aim for:

  • • Perfect leveling
  • • A clean, uninterrupted background

This presentation thrives when allowed to “breathe” — avoid tight corners or visual clutter.

2. The Lined Mirror

Classic, elegant, architectural.

What it includes:

  • • Fabric back
  • • D-rings & wire
  • • (Wall hook not included)

How to Hang

  1. Install a high-quality wall hook or anchor appropriate for the weight of your piece.
  2. Adjust the wire tension if necessary, ideally it should be taut but flexible.
  3. Hang the Mirror on the hook using the wire, and gently lift or adjust until the piece is perfectly level.

Placement Advice

The Lined presentation adds refinement and depth. It works beautifully:

  • • Above consoles, credenzas, or centered over furniture
  • • In symmetrical pairings
  • • In hallways or spaces where a frame adds presence and structure

We recommend you leave at least 6–10 inches above any furniture if placing above eye-level elements, so the piece feels anchored but not crowded.

3. The Haloed Mirror

Luminous, ceremonial, museum-like.

What it includes:

  • • Fabric back
  • • D-rings & wire
  • • (Wall hook not included)

How to Hang

  1. Use a sturdy, professional-grade wall hook or anchored screw.
  2. Hang the piece using the wire mounted on the back.
  3. Carefully adjust the frame to ensure it is perfectly level — the white mat adds a visual “halo,” so precision matters more here than any other presentation.

Placement Advice

The matboard adds breathing room around the artwork, creating a halo-like field of white that makes the Mirror feel like a relic or sacred icon.

For best results:

  • • Place it where natural light softly touches it (avoiding direct sunlight)
  • • Give it larger visual margins than the other presentations
  • • Consider hanging it slightly lower than eye level so the halo draws the viewer inward

Haloed Mirrors thrive in spaces meant for contemplation: reading rooms, bedrooms, quiet corners, or strategic focal walls.

General Placement Principles (for all Mirrors)

Ideal Height

As a museum standard:

Hang the center of the artwork at 145–155 cm from the floor (57–61 inches), depending on room height. This places the heart of the Mirror at natural eye level.

Spacing

Give your Mirror room to speak.

Avoid placing it too close to other artworks, loud decorations, or competing frames.

Surface Check

Ensure your wall is:

  • • Clean
  • • Flat
  • • Strong enough to hold the weight

Drywall, plaster, and concrete all require different anchors.

Final Step

Once hung, step back…

breathe…

and make the final micro-adjustment until the Mirror feels perfectly balanced.

A Mirror is not only aligned physically, but energetically.
